Damask Rose hydrosol contains a lot of volatile aromatic components of its flower, which are divided into 2 parts – the water-insoluble part is essential oil, and the water-soluble part is hydrosol. It also contains about 300 types of macromolecular aromatic components, which includes alcohols, aldehydes, acids, esters, ethers, etc.. Prior to the distillation, freshly harvested flower will be mixed with salt to retain its scent, it will then be placed into a distillation tank for oil & water separation process.
